Wondering where you might like to go this winter? Here are some ideas to help set the mood…
Turks & Caicos
If you are looking for a combination of serious relaxation and some of the Caribbean’s finest diving and snorkelling, then make plans to head here this winter
The island’s powder white beaches and crystal waters make this one of our favourite winter destinations for families because it is easy to get to and each family member can choose to be as active or as lazy as they please! Snorkelling and scuba diving are available in abundance and the weather is consistently glorious all year round. As well as organising your beachside villa, we can also arrange for a boat charter to explore the outer islands surrounding Provincials.
Chiang Mai is the largest city in northern Thailand with a striking mountainous landscape and a climate that rarely dips below 60.
The area is home to an array of beautiful ancient temples, sprawling gardens, and churning waterfalls, creating a winter break full of romance and laid-back adventure. Planning to travel post-new year? The city’s Flower Festival has been running for over 40 years and is held every February in Suan Buak Hat public garden. Every street in the old city is covered with flower arrangements, ornamental plants, and beautiful decorations for three full days.
In early December, many of our clients head to Miami for four days of artsy celebrations at Art Basel Miami Beach. But, this year, why not combine the creative festivities with a longer winter break in one of our stunning beachfront villas?
Whether you want to hike the Everglades, snorkel in the Keys or just relax on a sun lounger on Biscayne Bay, Miami makes a perfect place to rest and re-set before a busy festive period.
St. Kitts & Nevis
These luxurious twin islands in the southern Caribbean are a first-class choice for those looking for a mix of winter chill and breath-taking landscapes.
St. Kitts is the larger, more bustling island, presenting an impressive selection of restaurants and luxury boutiques, and is best explored by open-air train along the south coast. However, Nevis is much more private and secluded, for those looking for ultimate escapism. The island is almost perfectly round with gentle slopes rising to the peak of its dormant volcano. Stay here for some great offshore dive sites sheltering sea turtles and stingrays.
Peninsula Papgayo offers the ultimate coastal retreat in Latin America with unparalleled proximity to magical, rare wildlife and dream-like landscapes.
This Costa Rican Island is a complete heaven for hikers and nature lovers – proposing a canvas of towering tree tops, a tropical forest, and unlimited access to the best animal conservations. There are also miles of untouched beaches for when the calmer days are calling you. Taking a villa here is the ultimate winter getaway for those who feel happiest surrounded by lush greenery and nature.
Comprising more than 60 islands, the British Virgin Islands have a nonchalant unfussy charm and are perfect for those looking for a luxe yet casual getaway.
Just an easy reach from Tortola, Cooper Island is one of the lesser-known islands in the BVIs and is home to only a handful of private luxury villas as well as a very cool eco-beach club resort. It’s the perfect place to go off-grid and is also a favourite spot for scuba divers. A pint in the solar-powered brewery is also a must-do.
Here at Untold Story Travel, we have an impeccable collection of beachside luxury villas and yacht charters available globally and would be delighted to support and assist you with your winter travel plans.
