OVERVIEW

Although regarded as a city hotel, the Aman Kyoto sits tucked away in a beautiful garden amidst 80 acres of tranquil forest, in a northern corner of the city. Submerged in nature it would be easy to forget that the delights of Kyoto are just a short distance away, and there are numerous attractions close by including the glittering gold of Kinkanku-ji Temple, as well as Kyoto's 17 UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

A stay here is calming and serene. Minimalist pavilions are dotted through the grounds, stone pathways carpeted in emerald green moss weave through beautiful gardens and towering maple and cherry trees.

The Living Pavilion houses the main restaurant serving up a fusion of fine Japanese cuisine, traditional Kyoto home-cooking and western dishes using local produce that ebbs and flows with the changing seasons. Taka-An is an exceptional dining experience where every element works in harmony. The Omakase or 'set menu' creates a personally tailored dining experience for each and every guest. Private dining is available along with afternoon tea and enchanting forest picnics.

Wellness at Aman includes outdoor and indoor onsen hot springs bathing, private treatment suites, yoga and mindfulness practices,
