To stay at the Hotel Brosundet is to stay somewhere that has many stories to tell, somewhere with an historical past and somewhere with a true sense of place. The hotel sits on the waterfront in the very centre of Ålesund and is comprised of a pair of heritage buildings that were warehouses in a former life. Design-led this is sleek but charming hotel embraces it's past history and tells its story in an uncomplicated but stylish way.

Apotekergata No. 5 is the hotel restaurant and showcases a menu designed around the freshest local produce. Sit down for a light bite or settle in for the sensational tasting menu with 5, 7 or 9 courses, all dictated by the seasons and the catch of the day.

Rooms & Suites

131 rooms and suites offer a calming, Nordic style with cool colours, pale wood and stripped back beams. Many of the rooms overlook the peaceful waters of the fjord channel, whilst others the charming multi-coloured streets of Ålesund. Suites offer more space and are designed around the natural heritage features of the buildings. For something truly unique however book Room 47, for this room lies not within the main buildings of the hotel but in the Molja Lighthouse, which still stands proudly as a guiding beacon on the end of the jetty, a five minute walk from the hotel.
